Information Security Management System (ISMS)

Revision and improvement of the documentation (guideline and standard operation procedures) regarding the data protection measures at the IVDK institute in the course of the upcoming new legislation on data protection. Optimization of the technical processes and organizational workflows at the IVDK institut with regard to data protection of surveillance data.

From May 2018, the Federal Data Protection Act will be replaced by the EU Data Protection Ordinance (EU-DSGVO) and a new Federal Data Protection Act.

Relaunch of the IVDK.org web site in 2 steps

  • Motivation: Migration from a standard HTML/CSS-1 based web site to a Content-Management-System (CMS)
  • Development: Project started in 02/2011 based on CMS Joomla 1.5 and was finished by 07/2012 using Joomla 2.5
  • Migration from Joomla 1.5 to 2.5 with a new template, a new menue structure and new content was accomplished 07/2012

Preparations for the Introduction of the IVDK software at Lausanne

  • Language adjustments of the software according to the needs in Lausanne and Geneva.

Replacement of the IVDK’s server system

End of May’s move led to a failure of the internal backup mass storage which caused operation of the server to malfunction. Further investigation produced that the central mass storage of the server also had to be replaced urgently. Thus the server has been set up anew: 

  • Primary server: ThinkCentre M50 3.0 GHz iPP IV 
  • Secondary server (standby): Siemens Scaleo 600 3.0 GHz iPP IV 
  • Work on the server and a new concept of disaster management have been completed successfully on 28/07/2009.
